Dr Imteyazur Rahman, one of the leading orthopedic surgeons of Bihar, has specialized in Microsurgery. He has performed delicate surgeries on chopped upper and lower limb with outstanding results. He can be considered a pioneer in the region of North East India.
 
On 5th of October 1965, Dr. Hafizur Rahman (General Physician) and Dr. Amirunnisa Rahman (Gynecologist) were gifted with their second  son Dr. Imteyazur Rahman at Darbhanga medical college hospital. Both Dr. Hafizur Rahman and Dr Amirunnisa Rahman were leading practionsionars in Bhagalpur. They were jointly running Rahman Nursing Home at Tatarpur, Bhagalpur, Bihar. Dr. Ajazur Rahman (Medical Officer at Aruna Asif Ali Hospital, New Delhi), Dr. Irshadhur Rahman (General Practitioner) are his 2 brothers. This gave Dr. Imetayzur Rahman  an environment to learn the nuances of medical science since childhood.
 
Behind every successful man is a woman. Dr Imteyazur Rahman’s  life to a turn when on 16th september he got married to Dr Emrana Rahman( MS, Obstetrics and Gynaecology). She acted as a strong pillar and his biggest source of inspiration. Dr Emrana Rahman belonging to a technocrat family took forward the legacy of her mother in law Dr Amirunnisa in the field of Gynacecology. Dr Emrana is a puberty specialist and  has successfully  stablished her IVF center at Rahman Nursing Home Tatarpur, Bhagalpur,Bihar.  She is presently one of the leading practionars in Bhagalpur.  The Rahman family is blessed with two daughters and a son..
 
On personal front Dr Imteyazur Rahman had keen interest in mechanicals. People like  Mr  M.G. Qasim helped him enhance his skills in the field of electrical repairing . During the internship he attended a mechanical workshop where “Pandit ji” introduced him to world of mechanicals. Dr Rahman  designed a lathe machine for brass work.  During his PG days he invented a nail extractor which was successfully used among the colleagues in the Patna Medical College & Hospital.
 
Later a portable gun light  machine was designed and developed and was widely used in hospitals & elsewhere. The ampoule cutter got widely appreciation throughout medical fraternity and proved to be a boon for doctors and hospital staff. Its  efficiency  at a cheap price made it is user friendly in the state of Bihar.
 
During Early 90's Prof R.R.Kanaujia (HOD Department of microsurgy, trained from JAPAN) introduced him to world of crush injuries . Cases of thresher injury were very commonly seen in PMCH Patna. During a training program Dr Imeteyazur Rahman was introduced to Prof Suge (legendary hand surgeon from Hiroshima Japan) which gave his carrier in medical profession its flying feathers. Both Dr Rahman and Dr Kanaujia started working together with the aim of developing various techniques for hand surgery at subsidized rate.
 

In the year 2002 Dr Rahman started his practice in city of Bhagalpur. With a well-equipped mechanical lab at his center he designed lot of user friendly equipment’s right from OT table to OT lights.

He gave his hobby of photography a new definition in the form of data collection of cases he attended at his center.

With the belief that – matter written in any medical book are mere observations of doctors; he decided to develop his own skills in the field of orthopedics and microsurgery. This belief has given his trauma center its feathers to fly where sky is not the limit.
